FIREARM CONSIGNMENT AGREEMENT
Consignor agrees to place the items listed below on consignment with The Gun Store to try and sell them under the terms of this agreement. The Gun Store agrees to accept the items listed for consignment sale under the terms of this agreement. The Consignor represents that they are the rightful owner of the items listed and that the items are free from any encumbrance. While this agreement is in effect, Consignor agrees to grant the exclusive right to The Gun Store to market, advertise and sell the item(s) listed below.
The Gun Store will inspect all the items listed in this agreement and will determine the condition and functionality. The Gun Store will write up the description and specifications necessary to offer the item(s) for sale. The Gun Store will offer the items for sale at its Connecticut location, at suitable trade shows, the internet, etc.
The consignment fee shall be 20% on in-store sold items as well as the selling price on Gun Broker (www.gunbroker.com). If a credit card is used there will be a 3% fee. The minimum fee for any item sold is $50.00 per item. Fees for other services provided by third-party vendors (Gun Broker, shipping, etc.) are additional and are not included in the consignment fee. When the items consigned are sold and final payment is made by the buyer, the Consignor will receive the net amount within 14 days via business check, cash, or money order at the convenience of The Gun Store.
The Consignor agrees that The Gun Store is required to complete all inspections and specifications to prepare the item for sale and advertisement. The items consigned will be left on consignment with The Gun Store for a minimum of 30 days. The item(s) for sale will continue indefinitely beyond the original 30-day period unless either party notifies the other of their intent to terminate this agreement. Because a sale may be pending or an advertisement placed, the Consignor agrees to give seven (7) days' notice if the Consignor wishes to have items covered by this agreement returned. If the Consignor decides to have consigned items returned, there will be a $35.00 transfer fee. Federal law requires that the Consignor fill out all appropriate forms and pass the Connecticut NICS background check as if they were purchasing the firearm(s).
